Hello! I am Gail Thomas,a poet and educator. As a volunteer tutor at the Center for New Americans, I have witnessed first-hand this amazing community of immigrants, teachers and supporters. The adults I have worked with are studying English, practicing for their Citizenship tests and helping their families, often while working one or more jobs. Now, more than ever, we need to bring hope and resources to the families who live and work among us.
