I am excited to raise funds for the Center for New Americans so that the Center can continue to provide English classes, job training, and other support to immigrants who live in Western Massachusetts. This is my first time pledging to write 30 poems in 30 days. Can I do it? With the support of my friends, fellow poets, and lovers of poetry, I am sure that I can!
During my years at New York City College of Technology teaching English to speakers of other languages, I saw how programs like the Center help immigrants make a home and a fulfilling life in this country. Now it is my turn to help that work continue.
