Dear Friends,
This is my second year attempting to write 30 Poems in 30 days to assist the fund raising for the Center for New Americans. The Center works with immigrants in Western Massachusetts. The Center for New Americans offers free English language classes and help with legal and technical matters of immigration. I’m sure this year, the Center will be working with an increase of immigrants. I want to thank you in advance for considering a donation. During the 30 days in November, I will make every effort to provide you with a poem, each day, in your email in box, in whatever shaky or strong form they arrive.
Poetry saves me every day. Poetry offers itself up for all of us. Poetry gives voice to our joy our human suffering and finds the places inside where our truth lies. The Center for New Americans work is important work, supportive and caring work. We all need each other. We all need the support and connection. The Center for New Americans are offering the necessary skills for a new beginning, a human hand and a sense of belonging.
