30 Poems in November! is a literary fundraiser to support The Center for New Americans, an organization that welcomes and serves immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers in Western Massachusetts. They offer free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), career preparation assistance, support services and immigration legal services.
I am once again participating in the wonderful fundraiser for the Center for New Americans. This endeavor combines two passions of mine - wanting to impact change in the backlash against immigrants that has become an unacceptable prevalence in our country and challenging myself to write a poem a day for 30 days towards this cause.
