Welcome to my page! Center for New Americans welcomes and serves immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers in Western Massachusetts. Your contribution to "30 Poems in November" will help fund free English language classes, as well as career preparation assistance, support services and immigration legal services. Together we are building a community that benefits us all.
This is my second year writing for the "30 Poems" fundraiser. Yes, it's a little scary for me, but nothing compared with how scary every day can be for those who have been forced from their home countries and overcome life-threatening challenges to reach our valley with hopes of living safe, productive, happy lives. So let's welcome these brave people who have endured so much, and help them to become the independent, contributing citizens they dream of being. Our own lives will be better for it. Thank you.
