Center for New Americans works every day to open doors to those seeking safe haven in our community. They create paths for learning and resiliency. The least I can do is write a poem a day for 30 days (and give to others doing the same).
If you've never been to the annual July 4th swearing-in ceremony of people who are becoming citizens, you have missed a treat. My heart is cracked open each year to see the results of the citizens' hard, hard, joyful work and the steady, essential, and committed support offered by the Center for New Americans. I hope you'll join me in celebrating and supporting the Center's important work. Thanks for supporting the students' hopes by supporting me this year. Love, Becky
