This month I am planning to write 30 poems in 30 days to help raise money for The Center For New Americans. All of the money that I raise will support immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers in receiving free education and English classes.
Learning to speak English will open job opportunities, help further education, and even help to communicate with the cashier at a grocery store or neighbors.
I found out about the Center For New Americans 30 Poems in November two years ago and after hearing about their mission, I decided to participate. I was able to raise $360.00.
I believe that everyone should be able to live their best life possible and have lots of opportunities and that is the mission if The Center For New Americans.
