President Biden restricts border crossings for Haitians, Nicaraguans and Cubans

As explained in this New York Times article, President Biden is hoping to straddle a fence by welcoming 30,000 migrants per month from Haiti, Nicaragua, and Cuba while restricting border crossings and asylum applications.  It takes resources and planning to welcome migrants with shelter, food, warm clothes, and guidelines for next steps.  Restrictions may make some U.S. citizens feel better, but it puts thousands of human beings who are already in jeopardy at greater risk.
