U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on December 9th that it was automatically extending the validity of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) documents for individuals with TPS from Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan until October 4, 2021. That means that work permits of TPS holders from those countries are considered valid until October 4, 2021, despite the expiration date on the card itself. This announcement only applies to individuals who already have Temporary Protected Status.
