30 Poems in November! is a literary fundraiser for Center for New Americans. CNA welcomes and serves immigrants in Western Massachusetts with free English classes and a range of support services. Friends and family do their part by donating to support this effort. Powerful new poems and financial contributions translate to community support for immigrants.
Once more into the poetry vortex! You know the deal--the goal is for me to write a poem a day for the month of November, and in exchange, you pledge your support to the Center for New Americans, an organization that does much-needed work in our community, supporting immigrants and new Americans.
I approach this fundraiser with a combo of joy and immense trepidation--getting a poem a day out of this human is a challenge, but I want to help CNA & honor the folks they serve, and I'm always glad I took on this challenge.
