30 Poems in November is the primary fundraiser for Center for New Americans. I have taught for CNA for several years and participate in 30 Poems each year. I know firsthand the importance of the funds raised and how they help our students.
Poetry is the language of all people. Poets have told the stories and recounted the dreams of everyone from royalty to ordinary, everyday people.
As a teacher at Center for New Americans and a published poet, I know how poetry can speak to the hearts and minds of children and adults. Poetry is also a great way to practice literacy.
