I can't believe it's my fifth year involved in this wonderful fundraiser! In the past couple months, immigrants have seen a lot of awful and unbelievable vitriol—I believe it's particularly important to support them right now, and I'm glad to do that for yet another year through the Center for New Americans' great program.
Welcome to donors old and new! This year I'm once again aiming to raise $500 to support the great work that the Center for New Americans does in Western Massachusetts—ESOL classes, providing resources for immigration, and so many other great things you can read about on their website.
As for me, this is my fifth (!) year with the program, which means I've written 120 poems in the past Novembers alone. Since last year, I've had some of my poetry published in online publications, which I'm super proud of. You can check that out on my website, where you can also read my poems for this year as they're released, as well as my backlog. I'm so glad to be back, and ready to raise as much money as I can!
