Immigrants to the U.S. are increasingly under attack. Yet they are a critically important piece of the fabric of this country, strengthening its economy and enriching its culture. We now have the opportunity to put our money where our mouths are, to support the organizations that support immigrants and refugees in our communities. Along with many other writers, I am putting pen to paper (fingers to keyboard) and am asking you to pitch in for the poems I’ll write in November for this important cause. The Center for New Americans (CNA) offers free English, citizenship, and skills training classes, along with immigration legal services. Please give whatever you can (small, medium, and large donations all welcome) to help these new Valley residents thrive here in western Mass!
