My people were immigrants once. In this time of loud hatred, division, and strife, we need to join together for those coming over now.
The Center for New Americans provides ESL and citizenship classes as well as other critical support services. I'll be writing a poem a day for 30 Poems in November. If 10 people pledge $1/day, we make the goal. Or more people can pitch in fewer dollars each. There are many paths to happy math. I'll be over here writing poems. When we contribute, we win.
