Another November, another challenge to write and write and write and hopefully inspire you to donate to help support this great organization and their students. Those of you who have followed my efforts in past years know that my family hosted many young people from other countries when I was growing up. Year after year my family expanded to include someone from Cuba, or Brazil, or Nicaragua, or Venezuela, from Iran, or the Ivory Coast, or wherever. I write and try to raise money for the Center for New Americans because I remember how important it was for me to learn about the rest of the world from students who had traveled to the US, to learn English and pursue whatever their next hopes were. We are lucky that, even in these challenging times, people are still coming from other countries to find their place here.
