I'm going to write a poem a day in the month of November in the hopes that some of you will pledge whatever you can to support the Center for New Americans, an amazing organization that provides education and resources to immigrants and refugess in Western Massachusetts.
I'm a little nervous about committing to a poem every day, but I'm also excited for the challenge. And in this time when there is so much hatred being thrown at new americans, I want to use the creative and compassionate parts of myself to write poems and raise money. I hope my words and my fund-raising abilities show new americans that we support their right to be part of their community and live fabulous lives.
