Hello, As an assistant in the beginner English language class, I am blessed to be in the company of strong, kind, and committed students who teach each other and their teachers and supporters about the power of taking bold (really BOLD) steps and leaps. I love reading poetry. I love writing poetry. Some days, the writing isn’t a quick flow, but even on challenging days, the process of trying to use words in surprising ways heals and holds the spirit. I welcome this 30 Poems adventure. Most importantly, I am honored to be a member of this community. This year, especially, please think of our international families, neighbors and friends, and donate generously to the Center for New Americans.
