Because of my own experiences as an immigrant, my horror at current and recent immigration policies and my outrage  at  hate mongering directed at immigrants this is a cause very close to my heart. I am so happy that New Americans in Western Massachusetts have the Center for New Americans to offer all kinds of assistance, and I'm honored to try and raise funds to support them by writing something every day in November.    Of course writing a poem a day means each poem will be a very very early draft, but I'm happy to e mail poems daily to any sponsors who wish to receive them.
