Welcome to the 30 Poems in November fundraiser for the Center for New Americans which taps into the creativity of our community to help support the vital work of the agency — assisting immigrants and refugees ln their way to fluency in English, citizenship and employment.
The Center for New Americans supports refugees and immigrants in multiple ways - English classes and tutoring, citizenship training, job training courses, and celebration of diverse cultures. The organization has a caring staff and great leadership. Thank you for supporting them.
I intend to write a short poem a day loosely on the theme of flags, beginning with our own, and with inspiration drawn from nature and Jasper Johns.
