30 Poems in November is a literary fundraiser to support the Center for New Americans' free English classes for immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers. Writers like me write a poem each day in November and ask family and friends to sponsor them. I am honored that you are choosing to support me as I endeavor to raise funds for this worthy organization.

I have spent about 20 years of my career teaching poetry to adults and young adults who are new to the English language. I am also a dreamwork professional who believes that our nighttime dreams, our aspirational dreams, and the dreams we commit to paper are powerful! So, it is not surprising that I have long been a supporter of Center for New Americans, an organization that helps people create new dreams for their lives. I'm honored to be putting my pen to the page for a purpose again this year for 30 Poems in November.
