Yesterday I attended Center for New American's annual gathering. And, once again, I was struck by two things: first, by the number of immigrant and refugee families who have urgent need for basic services; a number that is increasing daily, And two, by how the staff, volunteers and participants at CNA have banded together not only to teach English and other learning skills fundamental to living successfully in this country, but legal immigration & citizenship advocates, job and career counselors, and dozens of supportive volunteers and friends have created the kind of community essential to anyone's health and happiness. The work is endless, the need is growing, the spirit and willingness of people like you to support this work is invaluable. I thank you for whatever you can do to help.
