As a member of a farm family we know how essential immigrants are to our communities and how hard they work. New Americans want the same things the rest of us want -- security, community, education, and a future for their children. Center for New Americans is a place to experience welcome, learn English and connect to others,
In order to support their work I will write a poem every day in November and ask friends and family to support my poetry-a-thon with a donation. $1 per poem amounts to a $30 donation to a good cause. At the end of the time I will send on a few poems in appreciation. Together we can help succeed in our communities -- a wonderful thing to do!
