Center for New Americans recently accompanied students to Holyoke Community College’s “College for a Day” event. HCC’s program lets students visit a real college campus, walk the halls, and see what resources are there for them. By showing students how college works and what a regular classroom looks like, the event helps make higher education feel much less intimidating.
