Annual Meeting

Each year, we gather to share highlights of the past year and plans for the coming year. We invite friends, volunteers, students, and alumni to join us for a brief meeting of our board of directors and presentations by staff members, volunteers, and students.

Our most recent meeting in October 2023 recognized Roger Webb, who retired from our Board of Directors after serving as Treasurer for several years. It introduced Sarah Sullivan, 30 Poems in November! event chair. It honored Jane Yolen, well-known author and long-time writer for 30 Poems in November! whose book Straw Bag, Tin Box, Cloth Suitcase: Three Immigrant Journeys included Raquel Elizabeth Artiga de Paz, a Center for New Americans alumna who was also present. The meeting also shared program highlights.
