All Poetry Is Prayer

I love the fall because I know that we will have 30 Poems in November, the amazing fundraiser for Center for New Americans. This is near and dear to my heart because I have witnessed first hand, as a teacher, the difference CNA makes in the lives of the people it serves. Nothing brings me greater joy than to see our students or clients achieve their goals.

Center for New Americans has been welcoming and serving immigrants in Western Massachusetts since 1992. We teach free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), digital literacy, civics, U.S. culture. We offer support services including connections to community resources and assistance finding employment. We also offer some immigration legal services, including assistance applying and preparing for U.S. citizenship, assistance with employment authorization and family petitions, and some humanitarian assistance. We rely on a small, dedicated staff, an engaged board of directors, generous volunteers and supporters, and public and private funding. 30 Poems in November! is one of our most important fundraisers every year.
