Support Refugees through 30 Poems in November

The Center for New Americans provide invaluable services for the increasingly beleaguered refugees in our country. Please support them by pledging to my fundraising commitment to write 30 poems in November -- not necessarily good poems, mind you, but the best I can do on any given day.So, for example, a mere $1 a day will raise $30 for the Center for New Americans. Center for New Americans has been welcoming and serving immigrants in Western Massachusetts since 1992. We teach free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), digital literacy, civics, U.S. culture. We offer support services including connections to community resources and assistance finding employment. We also offer some immigration legal services, including assistance applying and preparing for U.S. citizenship, assistance with employment authorization and family petitions, and some humanitarian assistance. We rely on a small, dedicated staff, an engaged board of directors, generous volunteers and supporters, and public and private funding. 30 Poems in November! is one of our most important fundraisers every year.
