30 Poems

Hello sweet readers! I am inviting you to join me as an active participant in a thirty-day poetic ramble: for every poem I write and post in November, you pledge a dollar amount of your choice, and, together, we support the important work of The Center for New Americans, whose sole purpose is to assist those newly arrived in this once-welcoming land.

Center for New Americans has been welcoming and serving immigrants in Western Massachusetts since 1992. We teach free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), digital literacy, civics, U.S. culture. We offer support services including connections to community resources and assistance finding employment. We also offer some immigration legal services, including assistance applying and preparing for U.S. citizenship, assistance with employment authorization and family petitions, and some humanitarian assistance. We rely on a small, dedicated staff, an engaged board of directors, generous volunteers and supporters, and public and private funding. 30 Poems in November! is one of our most important fundraisers every year.
