Welcome to my fundraising page. Center for New Americans welcomes and serves immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum-seekers in Western Massachusetts. They offer free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), career preparation assistance, support services and immigration legal services.
Once again I will be writing poems and asking you to join me in helping to support the programs of the Center for New Americans. In these so very troubled times, this is one thing we can do to support the immigrants and refugees who are seeking to live freely and safely in our community. Funding these services is more important than ever to asist this highly vulnerable population. I include this photo of my great grandmother, my grandmother, and her siblings taken shortly after they arrived as immigrants to this country. It is in their honor and with respect for the values they instilled in me that I do this fundraiser.
