I can’t remember when I first signed up for 30 Poems in November. I do remember seeing a poster for it on November 5 one year and thinking I can do that. I first thought we had to write about immigrants. I wrote 30 Poems about the different Immigrants I had known.
I had raised enough to take part in the reading.
There I learned it could be any topic. Hahaha!
But my effort brought home to me how important all these people were to me.
If you have come to this page you know that as a librarian I have
the experience that has exposed me to people from many backgrounds.
For many years I have seen my immigrant friend’s insecurities.
And now there is a deeper fear.
The CNAM helps them in way the average person can’t.
Thank you for supporting this effort.
