I'm in awe of immigrants who come to a new land, not knowing the language. Fortunately, the Center for New Americans provides English classes to ease their transition. 30 Poems in November is a win-win. Immigrants benefit from the English classes, and writers like me get a fun event that brings people together. My collaborator, Martin Elster, and I are using this fundraiser as a deadline to create an e-book sampler of our humorous work in progress, "Older and Funnier: A Couple's Journey in Rhyme."
