We're all from somewhere, and we all have stories to tell. I'm writing to support the newest members of our communities, and to connect with a long tradition of welcoming "the stranger," perhaps realizing they're not so strange after all. In this picture, I'm beside the Rhine River in Germany, near where my grandfather came from. This November, I plan to use poetry to both explore the past and dream better visions of the future.
