Poem-a-thon: Please Sponsor My November Madness!

Dear friends, family, and kind strangers I haven't annoyed with my strained verse yet, I'm participating in the Center for New Americans’ 30 Poems in November Event. This means I've foolishly agreed to subject myself to writing one brand-new poem every single day for the entire 30 days of November. Yes, that’s right: 30 days, 30 poems, all based on daily, mysterious prompts.

By Thanksgiving, I fully anticipate my poetry will devolve into existential odes to burnt gravy and forced couplets about the merits of matching socks. My sanity is negotiable, but my commitment to the cause is not.

The Center for New Americans (CNA) is a community-based, non-profit adult education center that provides the under-served immigrant, refugee, and migrant communities of Massachusetts.

So, here is the scary part: I need your pledge!

You can pledge a small, flat amount or you can pledge per poem—say, $0.50 or $1 per poem. Think of it as betting on how long I can go before I start rhyming "orange" with "door hinge" (don't worry, I won't do that... probably).

Your support transforms my desperate need to find a word that rhymes with "squirrel" into a life-changing resource for someone rebuilding their future.

Thank you so much for cheering me on,

Dee
