This year, even more than in past years, I am heartened by the common purpose, empathy and hope the gathered writers embody. At a time when inhumanity, cruelty and greed seem ascendant, 30 Poems in November affirms community, creativity and connection. The work of the Center for New Americans has never been more important, welcoming, supporting and defending the newest Americans.
