As November approaches, and writing, poems, and ideas, begin to emerge, I realize that I first wrote in support of the Center for New Americans (CNA) the first year of our current president's first term. I was inspired to write to stand up and to combat, what turned into our administration's ugly violence against immigrants who do not match this administration's idea of an ideal American. Really. I will continue to write and hope you will continue to donate as generously as you are able to help the work of the CNA who provide free English lessons to newcomers, as well as other many important programs. I write because I wholly support the idea that immigrants make this country great, and continue to add a vibrancy and effervescence to life that you don't see in other places in the world. Over the past eight years, together we have raised $16,850. I am so proud of that and incredibly grateful to you for you generosity. Don't stop. Love, Kessie
