Welcome and thank you for supporting me in my efforts to write a poem a day in support of the Center for New Americans. Join me in helping the Center for New Americans give new arrivals to our country a warm and enduring welcome by helping to fund the varied programs which assist new arrivals to assimulate into their communities and become contributing members of our society.
Unless you are of Native American ancestry, we all came from ancestors who landed on these shores looking for a new life in a new land. The Center for New Americans gives our new arrivals the tools they need to assimulate into their communities and to be independent, productive and contributing members of today's society, just as our ancestors received advice and assistance from those who had preceeded them. The Statue of Liberty is our enduring symbol of the commitment we made as a nation. It is a commitment I personally, intend to uphold. Thank you for supporting my efforts to support the efforts of the Center for New Americans. Sarah
