Center for New Americans for many years has provided assistance to Immigrants. That help is invaluable. Financial support is needed to keep up the desparately needed help.
Helping immigrants has always been important. We are a country of immigrants. Obviously that concept of welcome is under extraordinary attack and for that reason I am once again going to attempt writing a poem a day in November to support the work of the Center for New Americans. Even though I now live in Maine, I have seen the ravages of the immigrant community here and know the same exists throughout our country. So once again I hope to contribute to CNAM and their effort to provide assistance to newcomers.
Remember that donations are not statements about the quality of the poems but reflect your desire to help newcomers succeed in their new lives.
