I am taking part in this campaign because we are a nation of immigrants, we are made stronger by immigrants, and in any case, I don't like living in a country that slams the door shut once "We've got ours." Maybe I can express that better in a poem.
My goal is to get lots of people to pledge -- perhaps one person for every poem?
So if you pledged 50 cents per poem -- you could make a pledge of $15.00.
(The donate button is a small black rectangle by the bar graph)
I pledge to write a new poem a day, and share at least one poem a week, to your email if you want me to, but also to post on BlueSky @eileenhere.bsky.social and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/eileen.for.justice/
The Center for New Americans (CNA) is a community-based, nonprofit resource center that empowers underserved adult immigrants in Western Massachusetts (Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden Counties) through education and immigration legal services.
Peace, Love, and Gratitude,
Eileen.
