I just wrote a couple great inspiring paragraphs that expired while I wasn't looking. To be brief, this era of political and social closemindedness, fueled by fear and anger, sucks. Thousands of immigrants and refugees face the real possiblity of again losing their family, homes, community, and safety. I want to foster the opposite qualities, generosity and investigation. By writing thirty poems this month, I hope to search within and around me for truths and surprise.
