Here's my plan (and challenge) for this year's fundraiser:
I have committed once again to lace up my metaphoric sneakers and participate in the Center for New Americans’ 30 Poems in November fundraiser by adapting the poem-a-day concept to my project:
I am translating the story of Sarah, the first Hebrew Matriarch, from biblical Hebrew into poetic and restorative English. So during November I'll attempt to translate a poetic verse each day.
30 verses in 30 days!? That’s a challenge. But, with your support, I think I can do it.
Together, we will benefit our neighbors who have come here to pursue the American dream and who are working hard to learn English and become US citizens.
PS: When you donate any amount to my poem-a-day fundraiser, you will receive complimentary access to The Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined, where I’ll be sharing my translated verses.
