I am a dreamer writing, and a writer who wants to share her dreams. So I am thrilled to be here, dreaming on the page in support of women and men who are steadfastly making their dream of US citizenship, and a fulfilling life for themselves and their families, come true!
I spent about 20 years of my career teaching poetry to adults and young adults who are new to the English language. I am also a dreamwork professional who believes that our nighttime dreams, our aspirational dreams, and the dreams we commit to paper are powerful!
So, it is not surprising that I have long been a supporter of the Center for New Americans, an organization that helps people create new dreams for their lives. I'm honored to be putting my pen to the page for a purpose again this year for 30 Poems in November.
