Hi, I'm Lee (Lori) Desrosiers. I live in Westfield and have been writing poetry seriously for about 17 years. My grandparents immigrated to this country from Ukraine in the early 1900's. Please sponsor me to write a poem-a-day for 30 Poems in November, a literary fundraiser for Center for New Americans. Center for New Americans welcomes and serves immigrants in Western Massachusetts with free English classes and a range of support services. For more information, please visit: http://www.cnam.org/ This year, we aim to raise over $50,000. Writers do their part by writing one poem each day in November. Friends and family do their part by donating to support this effort. Powerful new poems and financial contributions translate to community support for immigrants.

Thank you so much for contributing to Center for New Americans. I am writing in honor and memory of my mother, Blanche, who died in 2018, and her parents, Bella and Jack, who came to this country in 1912 and 1916 from Ukraine.
