Making civics real

Every year, Center for New Americans invites local legislators to visit classes. Students ask questions about housing, healthcare, transportation, and education. Legislators respond by sharing what legislation they are currently working on. Everybody wins: legislators hear directly from constituents about their concerns; our students learn how accessible our W. Mass delegation is to them.
