Young Women’s Initiative awards a grant to Center for New Americans

Participants from Arise for Social Justice in Springfield and the Heartwing Center in Turners Falls completed a year-long leadership training organized by the Young Women’s Initiative, a program of Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts. The young women awarded four grants to address concerns they had identified. They awarded a generous grant to Center for New Americans because they appreciate Center for New Americans’ efforts to serve immigrants. Immigration is an issue they care about deeply. Several students are children of immigrants who attended Center for New Americans’ English classes.
