49 new citizens from 25 countries sworn in July 4th!

Center for New Americans held our 15th annual naturalization ceremony on July 4th. This year’s ceremony was smaller than usual because it was held indoors in the Courtroom at the historic Northampton Courthouse due to rain.  It was still a joyous and momentous event!

We thank our partners at U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, the Executive Office of the Trial Court, Federal Magistrate Judge Katherine A. Robertson, Clerk of the Court, Rob Farrell, Amherst Boy Scout Troop 504, Vocal Artist Evelyn Harris, the League of Women Voters, Northampton Chapter, DJ Groove, and all the staff and volunteers who contributed to this beautiful event.  An event program featuring the ceremony order, information about the citizenship process, a focus on our new citizens, and ads from local sponsors is attached.
